Overview:

The reigning queen of London society, Lady Elizabeth Worthingham, has her future set out for her. Marry well, and marry without love. An easy promise to make and one she owed her family after her near ruinous past that threatened them all. And the rakish scoundrel Henry Andrews, Earl of Muir who’s inability to act a gentleman when she needed one most would one day pay for his treachery.

Returning to England after three years abroad, Henry is determined to make the only woman who captured his heart his wife. But the icy reception he receives from Elizabeth is colder than his home in the Scottish highlands. As past hurts surface and deception runs as thick as blood, so too does a love that will overcome all obstacles, unless a nameless foe, determined with his own path, gets his way and their love never sees the light of day…

Tammy Review

This book was good. We have a lot of historical pieces with twist. We see the destruction of a village. We see what they do to get back on there feet and the women who inspired them. We follow the Princess and her Adviser as they find love. Will they accept it or fight for it? Will the village be able to prevent another attack on them? What will happen next?

This book was pretty good. Goes back to the books I fell I’m love with historical romance. Plenty of twist and turns in this one. But classic in a sense where one must married to receive their inheritance but this time it’s a heiress. Does she wait to fall in love or will she be force to marry the man her brother chooses for her? Looking forward to read more of your books.

Mrs. Roberts did a Wonderful job transporting us back in time. I found the nook to be very realistic in its telling. I felt as if I was there with them thru their struggles. Threw their pain, kidnappings, beatings, and finding love. I got so lost in the story that I swear I was there and for me that is the best kind of story.

The pressure is now on him to save his home and the Ashbys’ place in society with a well-bred match to a wealthy heiress.  A Hope Remembered is the final book to which seems a great series. I myself have not read the others. And I will try to find the time to go back and read them. It will probably make this one all the more better. A Hope Remembered is a book on Love and war as the series is titled.

About hope, love, healing, stories of friendships and overcome the dark times of war. Without giving away too much of the story itself it is about two unlikely people to be together. As Colin must marry someone to secure the family future or give into the love of his new neighbor Nora. It really is a good love story but at parts seemed very drawn out. I wish I could have read the other books in the series.
